More and more Division 1 baseball is coming to the Northeast as the month of March continues, but another busy weekend is on tap for New England clubs away from home.
The busiest Tuesday slate of the season included Northeastern-UMass, UConn-Hartford and Central Connecticut-Albany matchups on home turf, while three other programs continued spring trips in North Carolina (UMass Lowell) and Florida (Boston College and Sacred Heart).
After debuting at home, Northeastern is headed south to face a red-hot Clemson team while BC becomes the first local team to lift the lid on its conference schedule in the ACC. A ranked opponent is also on the slate for Rhode Island which will face the challenge of SEC foe Tennessee while looking for its first win.
The spring trip trend will continue during the coming week as well, as the likes of UConn and Harvard are headed to California for a slate of games spanning back-to-back weekends.
