As another weekend of college baseball arrives on this Friday, let’s take a look at where things stand around the region with a refresh of New England Baseball Journal’s Division 1 rankings.
The cream has started to rise to the top as best as it can during this most unique season, which has been impacted by many challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In fact, several of the region’s top teams find themselves on the sidelines this weekend dealing with COVID-related cancelations and pauses.
Some conferences have just recently started their league schedules within the last weekend or two, while others -- including the only unbeaten team in all of college baseball that calls our region home -- are only playing their regular foes. A conference-only schedule hasn’t stopped that team from making a big-time splash, however.
