You could call the final weekend of April the weekend of sweeps for New England’s Division 1 baseball programs.
Incredibly, eight of the region’s 19 teams swept their most recent weekend series -- including all four from the Northeast Conference -- and two used those efforts to finish off undefeated 5-0 stretches following two midweek wins.
There were multiple complete games on the mound, big offensive days and a memorable night at America’s Most Beloved Ballpark all within, as the home stretch of the regular season nears.
