Conference champions have been crowned, so let the road to Omaha commence.
Two New England clubs raised trophies at the end of one of the college baseball season’s most exciting weeks. All the highs and lows finished with Maine and Central Connecticut gaining automatic entry into the national bracket, while three other clubs that fell just short are expected to hear their names called earning at-large bids on Selection Monday.
Though the first step towards the College World Series will not pass through New England, the season will continue for at least one more week as regional round play begins on Friday.
