The final weekend of March was a great time to finish spring cleaning for a number of Division 1 baseball teams around New England.
Six clubs posted three-game series sweeps as conference play continued in earnest, including one upset coming against a reigning champion in a head-to-head regional battle. Three others continued successful conference starts as they began to stack together winning weekends entering the heart of the season.
The recent slate also included other key series wins in the Northeast Conference and the Ivy League, as well as the start of Atlantic 10 Conference play for both of the region’s teams.
