The NCAA Transfer Portal has had a major impact on college baseball in the past several years, and the 2023 season has been no different.
Some of New England’s top Division 1 programs have taken advantage of the great amount of talent within the region at other levels, adding experienced transfers to complete their college careers, in addition to importing players from elsewhere in the country.
Other programs have stuck to the more traditional recruiting model of seeking commitments from high school and prep players.
