After a lost spring of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, playoff time has finally returned for Division 2 and 3 clubs around the region and beyond. The last conference champions were crowned this past weekend, setting the stage for the D2 East Regional in Rindge, N.H., as well as D3 teams competing at three different regional sites.
In D3, five New England squads will take the field on “home” turf in Hartford, Conn., where one of the region’s two No. 1 seeds -- both from the powerful Little East Conference -- opens play. New England will also be represented in Auburn, N.Y., and Whitewater, Wisc.
With the start of Division 1 conference tournament play and NCAAs elsewhere, it is an exciting week to be a baseball fan in New England!
