It’s officially NCAA tournament time for New England’s Division 3 baseball programs!
This weekend, six teams ranked in NEBJ’s latest Division 3 Coaches Poll will begin a path towards Cedar Rapids, Iowa, but the field of local teams doesn’t stop there. Two other teams earned that same opportunity by clinching conference championships over the past two weeks, while one grabbed a coveted at-large bid.
Among the local teams competing is reigning New England and NEWMAC champion Wheaton, which won its first College World Series game since 2012 last June. The Lyons will be one of five New England teams kicking off tournament action at 10 a.m. Friday.
