Playoff time has officially arrived across the entire Division 3 baseball landscape in New England.
The upper echelon of the latest New England Baseball Journal Coaches Poll looks the same after the first three champions of the 2021 season were crowned last weekend. For the first time this spring, the top group shrunk a bit as just two teams received first-place votes.
All three of the region’s newest champions find themselves in the top-10 rankings, with one surging up to the No. 5 slot after making its season debut just two weeks ago. The cream of the regional crop includes one of the nation’s winningest teams entering the start of its conference postseason on Thursday and another winner of 11 consecutive games following a playoff run.
