While being led by two of the nation’s best teams, two newcomers have made a late-season charge into the top-10 of New England Baseball Journal’s Division 3 Coaches Poll.
Being hot in May is just the right time, as postseason play is either beginning or right around the corner for all five conferences that are represented in the latest ranks. The CCC, which boasts three NEBJ-ranked teams, will conclude its regular season this weekend before commencing bracket play with a play-in round on Monday.
Also featuring ranked teams are the NESCAC and GNAC, which both begin their postseasons this weekend. The Little East and NEWMAC both have key final regular-season games in the coming days before opening the playoffs next week.
NEBJ’s Division 3 Coaches Poll, which will be released on Thursdays during the 2024 season, is voted upon by coaches and sports information directors throughout New England. Those interested in participating in the voting should email jkummins@baseballjournal.com for more information.
