While the top teams in the region unsurprisingly remain crystal clear, early-season results have given New England Baseball Journal’s Division 3 Coaches Poll a different look and added a new team to the mix.
A number of New England clubs have competed against the nation’s best, whether it be at home, under sunnier skies in Florida or some combination of the two. The top two teams in our first in-season poll of 2024 have a combined 18-1 record as of Thursday afternoon, while three others in the top-10 have compiled at least a handful of victories.
While the preseason poll included multiple teams from five different conferences, a fourth NEWMAC team has joined the ranks after putting together a long season-opening win streak that was just broken during the week.
NEBJ’s Division 3 Coaches Poll, which will be released on Thursdays during the 2024 season, is voted upon by coaches and sports information directors throughout New England. Those interested in participating in the voting should email [email protected] for more information.
