One of the busiest stretches of the spring is upon us for New England’s Division 3 baseball teams. With many schools’ spring breaks already underway or starting soon, ballclubs from all over the region are heading to the south and west to get in some strong competition.
Little has changed within the regional ranks of New England Baseball Journal’s second Division 3 Coaches Poll of 2023, but one team has used a hot start to make a big climb and two others improved their position from a week ago.
Despite the recent shuffling, the Little East still leads the way with four ranked clubs, while three other conferences have two teams apiece helping to round out the ranking. The four teams knocking on the door of the top-10 all hail from different leagues.
NEBJ’s Division 3 Coaches Poll is voted upon by coaches and sports information directors throughout New England. It will typically be released weekly on Wednesdays during the season. Coaches and SIDs interested in participating in the voting should email jkummins@baseballjournal.com for more information.
