As NCAA tournament selections loom in less than a week’s time, there has been some moving and shaking in the latest New England Baseball Journal Division 3 Coaches Poll.
The emergence of a key conference champion shifted the picture slightly entering the final week before national postseason play commences, while another will do the same later this week as the Little East joins the NAC in crowning a winner.
A handful of teams rose in the rankings from a week ago, but the 10 teams in the fold remain the same. A few will be looking for coveted at-large bids for their chance to dance and compete for a College World Series position. After all, Babson and Wheaton sweated it out and were able to make runs to the final eight in recent seasons.
