It is almost time for “May Madness” in Division 3 college baseball. Several New England conferences are on the cusp of beginning tournament play this week, while others are reaching the finish line of the regular-season races. The NCAA Regional Rankings releases, too, make it feel like playoff time is right around the corner.
This latest edition of the New England Baseball Journal Division 3 Coaches Poll features seven teams with a week-over-week increase in their positioning. The consistent top two have already eclipsed the 30-win mark.
The addition of a rising No. 10 this week means that six different conferences are represented in the ranks. Three different NESCAC teams are in the mix.
NEBJ’s Division 3 Coaches Poll is voted upon by coaches and sports information directors throughout New England. It will typically be released weekly on Wednesdays during the season.
