The second weekend of March action saw UConn and Bryant — the top two clubs in last week’s New England Baseball Journal Division 1 Top 10 — continue their solid early-season play with series victories on the road.
Boston College managed a pair of victories during its spring trip to Kentucky, while the aforementioned Huskies have won at least twice during three of their first four weekends this season. Those two clubs set the New England pace in that category.
Elsewhere, Harvard achieved a milestone win for its coach, while Ivy League rival Yale battled one of the top teams in the country to a pair of one-run games. In addition, Central Connecticut State, UMass Lowell, and Fairfield all cracked the win column.
