Tuesday’s start to the weekday slate pits the leading teams in New England Baseball Journal’s Division 1 Top 10 against one another as UConn travels up to Bryant looking to become the second team from the region to reach the 20-win mark on the season.
The Huskies will be looking to rebound after losing their most recent American Athletic Conference series to Cincinnati, while Harvard and Fairfield are the top teams making a jump in NEBJ’s eighth Top 10 ranking this season. The Stags have won four of their last five games, including two against ranked in-state foes and then a weekend MAAC set.
In addition, Rhode Island and Hartford have quickly turned their early-season struggles around with both teams sitting near the top of the Atlantic-10 and America East races, respectively. Brown has also made a move up the Ivy League standings after completing a road sweep.
