New England is annually home to one of the most competitive crops of Division 3 baseball programs in the country, and 2019 should be no different.
The top three teams in New England Baseball Journal’s first Top 10 of the spring all enjoyed deep NCAA runs last spring, but no team won more than UMass Boston. The two-time defending Little East champion Beacons, who are the conference pick again this year, debut in the No. 1 spot after spending the majority of last season there as well.
Two LEC foes find themselves in these season-opening ranks as do three teams from both the Commonwealth Coast and NEWMAC. Babson leads the trio of clubs from the latter after winning 35 games, its second straight conference crown, and appearing as an NCAA regional finalist in back-to-back years.
Further down the list, both Salve Regina and Endicott already have highlight wins under their belts.
