Weather has gotten in the way of early-season northern action for many of New England's Division 3 baseball clubs, but trips to warmer climates are on the horizon. While five of NEBJ’s ranked teams have seen action in the early going, others will have to wait until at least Thursday to commence their seasons.
Among the season-opening Top 10 squads, Babson, Wheaton, and Westfield State all earned victories last week. A pair of Little East teams still lead the way in UMass Boston and Southern Maine, but both are still looking to open their schedules in the coming days.
Elsewhere in the region, Johnson & Wales, WPI, and New England College all have five wins already, while several of JWU’s competitors in the GNAC have also played quality baseball out of the gate. Saint Joseph’s (Maine) is undefeated through four games and Anna Maria is off to a 4-2 start.
