As the countdown to another Division 1 college baseball season reaches its final days, New England Baseball Journal is pleased to introduce its 2022 Preseason All-NEBJ Team.

Nine of the region’s 19 programs are represented, including a team-high three players from defending conference champion Northeastern and a Fairfield club that climbed into the national rankings for the first time ever following its magical undefeated run in MAAC play.

There are also two Central Connecticut players, as well as two Ivy Leaguers who are set to take the field for the first time in nearly two years but have had summer successes since their last collegiate games. The six other programs represented include UConn, which was ranked No. 1 in NEBJ’s Preseason Coaches Poll.

As far as home states, the roster includes four players from Massachusetts and Connecticut.
