After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the NCAA Division 2 Baseball Championship will return to its 2019 format -- regional and super regional rounds -- mirroring that of the Division 1 level.

Three of the seven East Region teams will represent New England and the Northeast-10 Conference when the tournament gets underway at 11 a.m. Thursday.

Top-seeded Southern New Hampshire is the top seed fresh off another NE10 title. The Penmen and Southern Connecticut will compete in a three-team sub-regional hosted by Wilmington (Del.), while Franklin Pierce is one of four teams headed to Molloy College in Rockville Center, N.Y., for its road to the College World Series in Cary, N.C.

Here’s our look at the New England-based teams entering their respective NCAA regional brackets.
