The first installment of New England Baseball Journal’s Division 3 Coaches Poll for the 2021 season is here!

There is still much to be determined and officially revealed about the look of the upcoming spring as this preseason ranking is released, but hope remains that baseball will be played throughout most of the region beginning later in March.

Anna Maria actually took the field for exhibition contests against Fisher earlier this week, marking the region’s first Division 3 action of 2021. In addition to receiving votes in these NEBJ regional ranks, the AMCATS were one of nine New England teams considered (either ranked or receiving votes) in this week’s D3Baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25.

Of course, this season has been highly anticipated after most teams had yet to get into the thick of their 2020 schedules before play was stopped. In fact, one ranked club had not yet played a game. Little has changed within these rankings since that point as all 10 teams were ranked in our final poll before the end of the pandemic-shortened season.
