Division 3 preview: Player of the Year candidates for eight conferences

The ranks of Division 3 baseball in New England feature a full group of regional teams within eight different conferences, so such an expansive reach allows players from virtually every corner of the region to make an impact on their team’s successes.

With the 2020 season just getting underway, New England Baseball Journal continues its look at some of the region’s top teams and players with a watch list featuring one Player of the Year candidate from each of the eight leagues that are primarily comprised of local teams. The players featured below were strongly considered for spots on our previously released All-NEBJ Preseason Team.

Many of these top student-athletes play on teams that were ranked in NEBJ’s Preseason Coaches Poll, but many others will jump into the conversation over the next few months. At this point, three of the top five clubs in our Top 10 are each represented with one player below.

A list of top pitchers to watch in each conference will follow soon.
