Jerod Edmondson’s first two seasons as the head coach at St. Anselm College have been anything but ordinary.
The Hawks won six of their 12 games before the COVID-19 pandemic stopped play in 2020, matching the team’s win total from a full 2019. Last spring included the team’s first Northeast-10 Conference postseason appearance since 2012.
Dylan Bedder has been right in the middle of that growth.
“Dylan’s vitally important to what we’re doing here because he just goes about his business, works his butt off, and the guys gravitate towards that (type of leadership),” Edmondson said of the 2021 NE10 Northeast Division’s Rookie Pitcher of the Year. “We’re in a lot different place culturally than we were when I got here because the guys bought into wanting to win and working hard. … Without a cornerstone like Dylan, that’s hard to do.”
