August is the busiest month of the year for prospect showcases for incoming seniors. The East Coast Pro Showcase will kick off the showcase schedule with a heavily recruited event Aug. 2 to 5 at Hoover Met Complex in Hoover, Ala.
Ten New England players will participate in the event for the Red Sox regional team. Several of the players also made the Area Code Games roster, although there are a few new faces since the geographical boundaries are slightly different for the two regional teams and the Area Code Games event has roster limits.
The marquee recruiting events in August include:
