Entering a new season, Central Connecticut State has plenty to be excited about.
The Blue Devils are looking to build upon winning their second Northeast Conference championship in three seasons. In addition, CCSU’s 31st and final win of 2019 was the program’s first ever in the NCAA tournament, coming in an elimination game against then-No. 24 California.
Central had to take down the perennial class of the conference — Bryant, the regular-season champions for eight years running ― to capture both of its most recent conference crowns. The first of those capped off a 36-win campaign in 2017.
