Editor’s note: This is the sixth in an offseason series profiling the region’s Division 1 baseball programs.
The season gone by will be a hard one to forget for Harvard.
The Crimson’s overall win total increased for the fourth consecutive year under reigning Ivy League and New England Division 1 Coach of the Year Bill Decker, but the season ended with two-game title sweep of Columbia and, subsequently, the program’s first NCAA regional berth since 2005.
On the way, Harvard took the regular-season series from all of its Ivy opponents and won 14 league games for the first time since 2006, a year in which Princeton beat out the Crimson in a two-game series for the playoff crown.
