Finding positivity from first injury

Auburn, Mass., native Tyler Beede saw his 2017 season come to an end July 24 when he suffered a groin injury while warming up for a start with the San Francisco Giants’ Triple-A affiliate — the Sacramento River Cats.

The 24-year-old right-handed pitcher posted a 6-7 record with a 4.79 ERA this season. The Lawrence Academy alumnus and former Vanderbilt University right-hander is one of the top prospects in the Giants’ farm system.
