Tired of reading stories about baseball seasons getting cancelled? Then you might like this one.
Futures Collegiate Baseball League Commissioner Joe Paolucci hasn't given up on a season for a league with seven teams spread across Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Unlike the Cape Cod League or New England Collegiate Baseball League, the Futures League season is still on -- for now.
Paolucci and the owners for the seven Futures League franchises are speaking almost daily to create a structure for a 40-game season that would begin July 1. In the event that fans are restricted from attending games, the Futures League has formed a partnership with a streaming service so that games will be broadcast online.
Paolucci joined NEBJ for a question-and-answer session on Tuesday morning.
