If you’re eagerly anticipating the return of baseball in New England this summer, you’re about to get your fix.
The Futures Collegiate Baseball League will begin a 39-game regular season on Thursday, July 2, with contests in New Britain, Conn., and Nashua, N.H. It will be the first sanctioned collegiate-level baseball game in New England since March.
While the college and high school seasons were cancelled completely or halted early, the Futures League has no plans to deprive the region of seeing its top talent from all levels this summer after the Cape Cod League and NECBL seasons were cancelled on or before May 1.
Now that the season is officially a go and just a day away, we will roll out our team-by-team preview package.
