Believe it or not, it’s time for summer collegiate baseball.
Another robust summer slate across New England begins with the Futures League. The league’s 12th season will include a 64-game regular season beginning Thursday, May 26, and the 64-game regular season runs through Sunday, Aug. 7.
As is typical in the summer landscape, rosters change regularly throughout the first few weeks of the season as college programs at all NCAA levels finish their conference and regional tournaments, and high school players complete their seasons. Thus, not all players will be on their respective teams from the start.
One unique aspect to the Futures League is the inclusion of top rising freshmen from New England and beyond. Those players are indicated with asterisks in the previews below.
