The Futures Collegiate Baseball League has been the chief local outlet for New England’s top players during this unique summer.
As the shortened 2020 schedule rolls along, stars from all levels have made a name for themselves within a league that received an influx of talent expected to don Cape Cod League and NECBL uniforms before those respective seasons were cancelled due to COVID-19.
The opportunity to be seen in front of Major League Baseball scouts for a coveted chance at the next level is perhaps most important for the selected Division 3 players sprinkled throughout the league.
There will surely be more breakthroughs by the time the season reaches its conclusion a few weeks from now, but here are six of the early D3 standouts on FCBL rosters:
