A partnership between Granite State Elite Baseball and the 603 Bandits travel team could change the complexion of travel baseball in New Hampshire.
The partnership will provide a travel program for players ages 10 through high school, operating out of Elite Sports Academy in Epsom, N.H. GSE Baseball, which was formed in 2021 with the construction of the Elite Sports Academy, had six teams last summer ranging from 10U to 14U. The 603 Bandits have had one of the top 18U fall travel teams in New England since the program's inception in 2012.
The plan is to have all GSE Baseball and 603 Bandits programs focused on development at the Elite Sports Academy. The 10U to 14U programs will continue to operate under the GSE Baseball brand, and the 603 Bandits will expand to include summer and fall travel teams between 15U and 18U. Previously, the 603 Bandits did not have a training facility; the coaches and players strictly gathered for fall tournaments across New England.
"There is a lot of untapped talent north of Manchester," said 603 Bandits owner Steve Siravo. "I don't want to give up the 603 Bandits, and we've been in talks about expanding that. The facility isn't even a year old. It's a good program with a really nice facility."
