How would you describe yourself as a player? Are there any guys in Major League Baseball you try to emulate?
"I definitely look up to Yadier Molina. Every time you watch a game, you hear about how well he leads a pitching staff and how good of a teammate he is, and that’s just the way I try to play. I try to be ahead of the game and looking out for what’s going on, just trying to be smart and be able to help the pitchers as best I can."
How much pride do you take in being a New England native playing college baseball close to home?
"Yeah, I think it’s a good thing. A lot of my friends from home can still come see me because I didn’t go too far. It’s nice for my family, and it’s good to try to make a name for New England. You see a lot of people out of New England starting to get drafted early and making advances in the pros, and I’m just trying to be a part of that."
