As details remain up in the air surrounding the MLB Draft this summer, Harold Coll (Hyde Park, Mass.) is remaining laser-focused at simply getting better in all aspects of the game.
A highly touted prospect, the shortstop has chosen to spend his senior high school season with the Georgia Premier Academy, allowing him to stay on track and continue to increase his stock across the board.
It’s an opportunity not many prospects have right now during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Our situation, where we’re at with our guys and our property and our facility, our dorm, our field, our hitting facility — we’re all on one big property,” explained head coach and director of baseball operations Gene Reynolds of the Statesboro, Ga.-based institution. “We’re basically self-quarantined on the property. We’ve been able to work out, take ground balls, even played a couple of inter-squad games with our guys because none of them have left the property.”
