Northeastern University coach Mike Glavine doesn’t want to hear that he might have an overabundance of pitching in 2022.
Yes, Glavine is returning all three weekend starters from his Colonial Athletic Association championship team in 2021. And, yes, his staff added the top undrafted high school prospect in New England as a part of this year’s freshman class.
“But you can never have enough pitching,” said Glavine (Billerica, Mass.). “We don’t have an overabundance of pitching.”
Glavine then looked over to the mound at Friedman Diamond, where Cam Schlittler, Sebastian Keane and Dennis Colleran Jr. were posing for a magazine cover shoot. He couldn’t help but smile.
