Vanderbilt coach Tim Corbin has made no secret of the fact that he prioritizes New England high school prospects in his recruiting strategy.
Over the years, some of New England's top high school and prep players have gone on to play for Corbin in Nashville, including players like Tyler Beede (Auburn, Mass.), Rhett Wiseman (Mansfield, Mass.), Mike Yastrzemski (Andover, Mass.), and Dom Keegan (Methuen, Mass.).
Even for Corbin, a Wolfeboro, N.H., native, his prioritization of New England pitchers in the Class of 2025 seems notable. Three of the eight pitchers in Vandy's incoming Class of 2025 are from New England. They include left-hander Patrick Clemmey (Middletown, R.I.) along with right-handers Grant McCubrey (Nashua, N.H.) and Wyatt Nadeau (Gorham, N.H.).
In a February appearance on The Base Path Podcast, Corbin explained his philosophy behind recruiting New England players.
