The ISL regular season is drawing to a close, with only two weeks left. Twelve teams are realistically still vying for eight spots in the inaugural ISL Championship Tournament. Only Groton (2-6), Thayer Academy (2-7), BB&N (1-7), and St. George's (0-6) are securely positioned in the consolation bracket.
If the season ended today, St. Sebastian's (7-2), Rivers (6-2), Milton Academy (6-2), Lawrence Academy (6-3), St. Mark's (6-3), Roxbury Latin (7-4), Governor's Academy (5-3), and Belmont Hill (5-3) would qualify for the ISL championship tournament. However, Tabor (4-4), Brooks (3-3), Nobles (3-5), and Middlesex (3-5) are still alive.
Prospects are also starting to emerge as favorites for the most prestigious league awards, including ISL Player of the Year, Pitcher of the Year, Silver Slugger, and Coach of the Year.
Let's take a look at the top performers from the last week and the updated playoff picture.
