Jake Dexter follows brother’s footsteps to Sanford

By Kevin HenkinJuly 1, 2017

Jake Dexter’s family legacy in Maine baseball is important enough, but he doesn’t let it define him.

Jake is the son of Tom Dexter, who headed the baseball program at Colby College for 15 years and now serves as an assistant there. Jake also is the younger brother of Sam Dexter, who excelled as a shortstop at the University of Southern Maine and was selected by the Chicago White Sox in the 23rd round of the 2016 MLB draft.

This summer, Jake Dexter — also a standout player at USM — will follow in the footsteps of his brother Sam by playing for the Sanford Mainers.
