Kevin Barnaby has been named Groton High School's new varsity baseball coach.
Barnaby's resume is nearly impeccable for a Massachusetts high school varsity coach.
Upon graduation from Worcester State, Barnaby served as the Volunteer Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Lowell during its transition to Division 1. After serving on Ken Harring's staff, Barnaby earned the job as the head coach at Fitchburg State in 2015 where he worked for four seasons. He returned to the Riverhawks staff as the program's recruiting coordinator in 2019.
Barnaby put down his college coaching hat in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic to focus solely on his role at Nor'Easters Baseball where he serves as the director of player development. Barnaby has worked at Nor'Easters Baseball for eight years in various roles.
