Before his time at Loomis Chaffee School is finished, Chandler Coe will go down as one of the finest pitchers to have ever worn the Pelicans uniform. You can also make a case of him being considered one of the all-time best in New England history.
A pure, dominant right-handed '23, Coe entered Loomis Chaffee as a reclassified freshman in 2019, after spending grades seven through nine at Rumsey Hall School.
Coe reflects back on his decision to reclassify as being the smart choice given the effects of the pandemic on all levels of baseball.
"Loomis has that balance of rigorous academics, while still being strong across the board in athletics,'' Coe said. "I didn't have to sacrifice (playing) football and basketball to play at a dominant baseball school.''
