Max Cotier feels right at home at Canterbury

By Mike ZheJune 1, 2018

For many ballplayers, the transition to prep school presents adjustments that go well beyond the diamond.

Getting to classes on time. Finding the right place to study and the best times to use the athletic facilities.

Canterbury School shortstop Max Cotier had no such problems. He’s been living on campus since he was 9, when his dad, Pete, the associate head of school for operations, was hired there.

"I’ve been around Canterbury and around Coach (Todd) Mathewson the last eight years," he said. "I just know everyone around here.

"I live right in the middle of campus. I’m able to go to the weight room whenever I want, the ballfield whenever I want."
