LYNN, Mass. – Charlie Bushley needed one more out.
The Bates commit put himself into a jam with runners on the corners and two outs after a pair of walks while No. 1 BC High held onto a 3-2 lead in the top of the seventh against No. 5 Leominster in the MIAA Division 1 semifinals.
Bushley (Cohasset, Mass.) bore down and got to work against Leominster's Reece Lora, delivering two straight strikes to come within a pitch from a championship berth.
The right-hander wound and feathered a perfect curveball to freeze Lora for the punchout, sending the Eagles soaring to Polar Park.
