
WESTWOOD, Mass. – As the wind chill dipped into the teens, BC High didn't seem to mind. The bats were red-hot as the No. 1 Eagles rode a six-run outburst in the top of the fifth to a 13-3 route over No. 2 Xaverian in a high-powered Catholic Conference clash. BC High (3-0) tallied 16 hits in the effort.
Brody Beale (Hingham, Mass.) set the pace offensively with three RBI on three hits, and John Nichols (Hingham, Mass.) also had three hits, driving in a pair. Sam Bushley (Cohasset, Mass.), Jackson Richard (Pembroke, Mass.) and Tommy O'Donnell (Milton, Mass.) each had multi-hit efforts, and Gustavo Bosques had a three-RBI double.
Adam Bushley (Cohasset, Mass.) locked things down in relief to earn the win, scattering three hits across four shutout innings with four strikeouts.
