WORCESTER – Cole Bohane had the chance to cap a Hall of Fame career at BC High.
In a 2-0 count and with the Eagles in need of insurance, leading 3-1 in the bottom of the sixth, the senior delivered.
He ripped a single through the left side of the infield, plating two runs and sealing No. 1 BC High's 5-1 win over No. 2 St. John's Shrewsbury in the MIAA Division 1 state championship.
"I knew what the situation was," Bohane said. "I knew I needed to get a hit. I've been waiting for that moment throughout my entire high school career. So, I was confident in myself. ... I was thinking I was just gonna get a hit no matter what, and it kind of worked out that way."
Here's a full recap, plus four standouts from the game.
