The end of the MIAA regular season is in sight. Some teams are now sitting and waiting for the playoffs, while several will finish up their schedules this weekend ahead of Monday's cut-off. Brackets will be released on Wednesday, and the state tournaments will kick off Friday.
The past week around the state saw some no-hitters, including yet another for Diman's Sam Perry. Meanwhile, others came through in the clutch to help their teams make one final push to qualify for the state tournament.
Throughout the season, we’ll run a weekly watch list each Friday, recognizing 10 standout performances across the state. A friendly reminder, it is impossible to attend every high school game in Massachusetts, so we rely on reports from coaches and social media accounts to select the performers in a given week. If you have a nominee, please email NEBJ writer Pat Donnelly at patrick.donnelly@seamansmedia.com.
Let's dive into 10 players who had exceptional performances over the last week-plus.
