The homestretch of the MIAA season is always a difficult time to rank the top teams in the state.
The coaches of the top programs typically save their best pitchers for games with conference championship implications. As a result, even the best teams take the occasional loss to an inferior nonconference foe as their respective coaches save their best arms for the biggest games.
This week's MIAA power rankings include three Division 3 teams in the top four and another Division 2 program in the top five. However, each of the teams ranked 6 through 10 will be playing in the Division 1 tournament.
Here's a look at the top 10 teams as we head into the portion of the season when conference championships will be decided.
