As the MIAA regular season hits the midway point, the top teams in the MIAA are starting to emerge as legitimate state championship contenders.
This year's state tournament will not include a Super 8 Tournament with a collection of the top eight teams regardless of division. Instead, it will include five state-wide divisional tournaments with the teams ranked based on winning percentage and strength of schedule. The MIAA released its first power rankings on April 29. That gives fans an idea of how teams might be seeded in the state tournament in each of the five divisions.
For the purposes of our MIAA power rankings, we consider teams from all five divisions. Our top 10 includes six D1 teams, one D2 team and two D3 teams.
Here's a look at the MIAA power rankings with the top 10 teams.
