High school baseball season is upon us in Massachusetts. Last season featured plenty of parity and high-end talent around the MIAA. This year figures to be no different.
It was all about the Catholic Conference in last year's Division 1 tournament as BC High knocked off St. John's Shrewsbury for the title. In Division 2, it was Plymouth North prevailing over Walpole.
There are plenty of the usual suspects in our preseason top 10, including powers from the Catholic Conference and Bay State Conference. Each is well represented. The top three teams hail from the Catholic Conference, plus two more outside the top five. Meanwhile, the Bay State league has two teams in the top 10 and two others in the hunt.
