The MIAA Baseball season, and all the excitement that it brings, is officially underway. Tryouts began across the Commonwealth last week. Over the next 10 days, teams will take the field for their first games.
With that, we are excited to unveil our preseason 2023 MIAA Baseball Top 10 here at New England Baseball Journal. These rankings will be updated each Monday throughout the course of the season.
Our initial rankings showcase a fight for the top spot between the two 2022 Division 1 finalists who both hail from the Hockomock League. The Hockomock League has the most representatives of any conference to start the season (3) with the Merrimack Valley Conference close behind (2). Central Massachusetts is well represented to start the season with three teams in our top 10.
Defending champion Milton is once again in the top five with other Bay State Conference foes knocking on the door. Without further ado here are our preseason MIAA Baseball Top 10:
