The opening week of the MIAA state tournament delivered some jaw-dropping upsets, including the ousting of the defending D2 and D3 state champions.

The Division 1, 2 and 3 tournaments are all close to narrowing their respective fields down to eight teams, while the smaller divisions are a little behind that schedule. All five state champions in Massachusetts will be crowned on Saturday, June 18 -- with three games scheduled to be played at LeLacheur Park in Lowell and two more at Fitton Field at Holy Cross.

Here's a look at top individual performers, biggest upsets and predictions for MIAA's D1, D2 and D3 tournaments.
